Today, we have over 100 members aged between 16 to 65 years of age, from a diverse range of backgrounds and professions.
Our motto is ‘Serious fun, just add water’ and we believe you can train hard AND play hard! Our paddlers range in ability from absolute beginners, through to representatives of our Victorian State Team and even the Auroras Australian National Team.
From small beginnings we have grown from strength to strength – in 2016 we travelled overseas for the first time and were thrilled to win a bronze medal in the International races at the Hong Kong Trophy.
At the 2017 Australian Dragon Boat Championships our hard work paid off, and we won a number of gold, silver and bronze medals across various categories. We also took home the Alexandrou Trophy for the Championship's Overall Fastest Mixed Crew which was a great honour.
Following on from our 2017 Nationals success we took a small crew to the DBS Marina Regatta in Singapore in June, where our paddlers gained amazing racing experience, and our Women’s crew even brought home a gold medal!
We are so excited to represent Melbourne and Australia on the world stage at the Club Crew World Championships, and can’t wait to be up against the biggest and best teams in the world!
