When we left junior categories we decided to continue with dragonboats and stay as a team in one boat. As time passed, new members joined our club and we now have around 100 team members from 15 to 70 y.o.
We were such a punk group from the beginning, but we like it this way. Sometimes it's hard to organize ourselves for a competition, but we're a great crew and have lots of fun in the boat. This sport is not just our hobby but it is a life style for us and the crew is our second family.
We took our first races in the Czech Republic and we went from the bottom to the highest racing category very fast. So as the only club crew in Slovakia, we formed national U24 team for World championships in 2009 and 2013 and European championship in 2010. We did very well with twelve gold medals from these tree championships and lot of silvers and bronzes.
Some family, university and job responsibilities slowed us down a little bit, but after a few years we are coming back to compete with the world's best crews in Szeged again!
A Magyar Sárkányhajó Szövetség sportolói 2026. július 8 - 12 között - München/Németország - a 16. EDBF Sárkányhajó Európa - bajnokságon, 2026. augusztus 29 - szeptember 6. között - Taipej/Kína - a 15. IDBF Klub Legénység Sárkányhajó Világbajnokságon versenyeznek. Simi 2026-ban ismét útra kel, hogy elkísérje, segítse a magyar sportolókat a világversenyeken.
